Halloween Horror Movie Countdown 2019
Labor Day came and went. It’s official Halloween season in my book.
Time for eating way too much junk food, pumpkin spiced everything, making costumes, going to tons of parties, getting tipsy on mulled wine, and the most important fall activity: bingeing a shit load of scary movies.
If you know me well enough, you know I freakin' love Halloween. I always have. All my favorite things are conveniently wrapped into one outrageous holiday, during the best season of the year.
To celebrate, every Halloween season I share a super rad Horror movie countdown here and on my Instagram Stories. And this year is no different. Without further ado, here is this year’s Halloween Horror Movie Countdown.
28. The Wicker Man (1973)
Willow’s Song on repeat, ya’ll.
30. Rosemary's Baby (1968)
Easily, my all time favorite horror film.
31. Night of the Living Dead (1968)
I try my best to include a good mix of old and new, different sub-genres, a few non R-rated flicks - a little something for everyone. And hopefully this will introduce you guys to a few films you haven’t seen yet. I also try to not repeat films each year, but some are traditions for me: like watching Night of the Living Dead on Halloween night.
The first Halloween I didn’t go trick-or-treating, I was probably about 10 years old, I remembering staying home, cooking with my mom, handing out candy and watching Night of the Living Dead. It was such a simple night, but I remember it fondly - and remember loving how scared the movie made me - and it’s been a tradition ever since.
Let me know what you think of this year’s list! Make sure to stay tuned to my Instagram Stories during September and October to see clips of each film as I watch them - plus my comments and reactions! And for more horror movie favorites check out last year’s list here!
Happy Halloween 🦇
